Dog Park Rules

Dog Park Rules Enter at your own risk. All dogs must be accompanied by their owner or a guardian responsible for the dog(s). Dog Park users accept full liability for actions of their dogs. All dogs must be leashed prior to entering and when exiting the dog park. All dogs in dog park must be licensed, be current on all shots and not have any contagious diseases or aliments including but not limited to kennel cough or contagious mange. The owner or guardian is responsible for the behavior of their dog and must clean up after the dog whether in the dog park or anywhere within Doyle Park. If you notice a dog defecating in the park and their owner does not pick it up, please point it out to the owner so they can be aware of it. Any dog who is aggressive with other dogs or people, including biting other dogs or people, must leave the dog park or immediately be muzzled (many owners have successfully used muzzles on aggressive or threatening dogs). The dog park has two areas, a large dog and a small dog area. The gate separating these areas may be closed at the request of any dog owner and may be opened only with the consent of all dog owners present. (If the gate is closed, anyone who would like to open the gate must ask all dog owners for permission before opening the gate.) Dogs may not be left unattended at any time. Excessive barking is not permitted at anytime and owners must be aware of the surrounding communities especially in early morning or late evening. There are three entry areas for entering the dog park, all on the west side of the dog park. Each of the entry areas have at least two gates, an inner and an outer gate. These gates help prevent dogs in dog park from dashing out when others are entering. Please close and secure a gate before opening another gate. Never leave gates open, even if you are the last person leaving the park. Bringing food or treats is not recommended as it can cause dog fights. Bringing toys is optional but be aware that dogs do not understand "ownership" and other dogs may want to play with the toys in the park. Bringing your dog's toys are at your risk should they be damaged or destroyed by another dog. Tables within the dog park are for the convenience of the owners and are not recommended for eating off of since dogs do get on top of these tables. Owners must not let their dogs dig within the dog park or Doyle Park and are responsible for filling in any holes created by their dog. Dogs in heat are prohibited. Having fun is optional but suggested. |
